ERI successes in ZOA

ZOA started working with ERI on a basic level in 2012 under the FSIG projects in Pader district in Uganda (funded by MWH foundation) using the early ERI Guide (CIAT 2006). When the new manual and related grainsack charts were published in 2012 (MangoTree), ZOA took up the full ERI program of 5 modules on participatory agro enterprise development.

Currently ZOA uses the ERI program as a major component in its agribusiness project Agri Skills 4 You (funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands through ICCO, 2013-2016) in Arua, Nebbi, Zombo, Koboko and Moyo districts targeting 50 farmer groups. The first results show that farmer groups who followed the trainings developed a very strong drive towards producing crops in function of market demand and profit margins.
